SUMMARY:



We are looking for a Software Applications Manager to partner with business users and software providers in supporting our legacy systems. Working closely with the leadership team, you will document current processes and embedded business rules. You will also define desired business requirements and explore solutions to bridge the gap between current and desired states, aligning with strategic objectives. This is a pivotal role in one of the company's most important initiatives.



The ideal candidate combines a strong technical product manager background with business acumen and has a track record of delivering business value through technology. They bring deep expertise in business processes and systems and have participated in implementations and integrations in complex environments. You will partner closely with Field Services, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Enterprise Tech, and external vendors.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  • Understand and document business processes and rules in detail and ensure support of existing legacy systems like BASIS, AMCS, Great Plains, VERTEX, and Samsara.

  • Collaborate with current vendors to provide support and enhance/fix the current applications.

  • Liaison between Management and the application developers.

  • Ensure version control, upgrades and patching of the application and work with the IT team to implement the patches.

  • Evaluate and manage software vendor partnerships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service quality.

  • Partner with business teams to understand pain points and drive continuous improvements.

  • Identify immediate process improvements by pinpointing manual or paper-based workflows that can be automated or enhanced with minimal investment.

  • Act as the technical advisor and subject matter expert for Application systems, providing guidance on emerging technologies.

  • Develop and execute the long-term Technology roadmap in partnership with Business teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

  • Participate in implementations, administration, integrations, and optimizations for all company software functions.

  • Establish best practices for system governance, security, and compliance, working closely with stakeholders and executives.

  • Support change management efforts to drive system adoption and process standardization.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, with experience blending finance/Fields services domain knowledge with technology delivery.

  • 8 or more years of experience as a people manager leading teams in a Product Manager role or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of business process flows, data flows, and system security best practices.

  • Experience managing AMS (Application Managed Services) providers and external consulting engagements.

  • Strong experience in participating in ERP project (Finances, Fields Services)

  • Experience in CRM, Scheduling, Routing, Optimization and rental/Lease business a plus

  • Experience driving change in fast-paced environments and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.

  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, using diplomacy to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration.

  • Knowledge of SQL and understanding of underlying table structure to extract data.

  • Experience with agile principles, software development and testing methodologies (waterfall, Scrum, rapid prototyping, DevOps etc.).

  • Experience in Cloud platforms, Tools and Services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)

  • Experience with integration platforms (i.e., Workato, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
