Job Description
As a DC Operations Engineer, you will focus on the alignment of liquid cooling thermal design and operations supporting data center physical infrastructure. You should have extensive mission critical management work experience. A mix of technical breadth and depth is required to work cross-functionally with different multiple disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, and Thermal) to develop and manage programs for supporting all facets of the data hall and supporting MEP infrastructure.
You will need to work with internal and external partners to focus on deployment and operations of the next generation of world class liquid cooled hardware. This engineer will be responsible for building and growing the OCI Data Center liquid cooling for high-density rack deployments in the West Jordan region. The operations program will require working with internal and external teams to provide 24x7x365 onsite, after-hours, and on-call support to ensure the continuous availability of liquid cooling, air cooling, and power in the data center.
Activities supported by this role include procedure creation and execution, training teams in liquid cooling processes, CMMS maintenance scheduling and tracking, performing maintenance, vendor management, Change Management, budget creation and management, site evaluations, management of facility builds and infrastructure changes, incident support, space and power utilization, capacity planning, efficiency upgrades, and general engineering support. You will be involved in the build process including commissioning oversight, onsite training, and site document management.

- Creation and development of scalable engineering solutions
- Ability to read and utilize electrical and mechanical schematics
- Safely performing mechanical & electrical switching operations
- Review of MOPs and SOPs for accuracy, safety, and to assess the potential for business impact
- Overseeing maintenance activities performed by others to ensure they are conducted safely and correctly

- Undertaking the testing of electrical and cooling systems and identifying issues and working on solutions

- Following existing procedures and development and improvement of processes
- Analyzing and validate system data and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Undertaking risk assessments of supplier or partner works
- Scheduling and track completion of preventive and corrective work items
- Drafting scopes of work and requests for proposal for vendors and service providers
- Providing frequent reports on key performance indicators pertaining to space, power, and availability
- Assist with developing dashboards and automation to support scalable solutions
