Workday Recruiting, Compensation/Advanced Compensation- Functional Lead
Location: 100% Remote


Overview
This role serves as the Functional Lead across both Workday Recruiting and Workday Compensation/Advanced Compensation during implementation. The consultant drives the functional design, steers the configuration approach, and ensures that the hiring offer pay lifecycle is implemented in a cohesive and scalable manner and ensure the configured solution aligns to business objectives and Workday best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate requirements and solution design discussions across Recruiting and Compensation workstreams, guiding decision-making and future-state definition.
  • Own configuration design for Recruiting (requisition approval flows, candidate stages, offer process) and Compensation (plans, grades/grade profiles, eligibility rules, packages).
  • Lead design and configuration of Advanced Compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) including cycle parameters, budgeting, review steps, and manager experience.
  • Ensure alignment across the hiring offer pay continuity and integration points with Core HCM.
  • Lead testing strategy and execution for both domains, including unit, system, and end-to-end testing - ensuring results reflect approved business design.
  • Partner with reporting resources to define reporting requirements (pipeline metrics, funnel reporting, comp cycle reporting, compensation statements).
  • Provide oversight and direction to the Analysts aligned to Recruiting and Compensation work to ensure high quality configuration and test execution.

Required Qualifications / Skills
  • 5+ years HR/HRIS experience with at least 3 years leading Workday Recruiting and/or Compensation/Advanced Compensation.
  • Hands-on Workday configuration experience through full implementation lifecycle.
  • Experience leading or supporting annual merit / bonus / equity cycle design and configuration strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead workshops, drive decisions, and resolve design gaps.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate senior HR/TA/TR stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; Workday certifications preferred.
