Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. The Cloud Architect will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet our organization's business objectives. This role requires deep expertise in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to architect scalable and secure cloud architectures.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design cloud-based solutions that meet business and technical requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Evaluate existing on-premises systems and infrastructure to identify opportunities for migration to the cloud.
  • Develop cloud migration strategies and roadmaps, including detailed migration plans and timelines.
  • Design and implement cloud-native applications, leveraging best practices and architectural patterns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud adoption strategies, governance policies, and security controls.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on cloud architecture and design principles to development teams.
  • Implement and configure cloud infrastructure services, including computing, storage, networking, and security components.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and management tasks using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and practices.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
  • Implement cloud security best practices and compliance standards, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on our organization's cloud strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native development frameworks and tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption methods, identity, and access management (IAM).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
