Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior User Researcher / UX Strategist with 5+ years of experience in driving user research, discovery, and strategy initiatives. This role will focus on deeply understanding user needs, pain points, and product interactions to inform product design and business strategy.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in conducting research, creating journey maps, and presenting insights in a compelling and actionable way. Strong communication skills and proficiency with tools like MURAL and PowerPoint are essential. A portfolio showcasing previous user research, journey mapping, and strategic design work is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead user research and strategy efforts to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Conduct discovery sessions with user groups, product teams, and stakeholders to gather insights.

  • Develop and document user journey maps (current state, pain points, product interactions).

  • Create clear visualizations of research findings and strategies using MURAL and other whiteboarding/research tools.

  • Deliver actionable insights on how products and services are being utilized.

  • Present research findings and recommendations in PowerPoint with a high level of clarity and professionalism.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to align strategies with business goals.

  • Communicate research insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, UX strategy, or related field.

  • Strong expertise in creating user journey maps and documenting user experiences.

  • Proficiency in MURAL (or similar research/whiteboarding tools).

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (10/10 written and verbal).

  • Proven ability to translate research into actionable strategies.

  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint for presenting findings and insights.

  • Portfolio of prior work showcasing journey maps, user research, and strategic outputs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile product environments.

  • Familiarity with additional UX research tools beyond MURAL (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail).

  • Strong ability to balance user needs with business and product requirements.
