Job Description:

Mainframe Developer - COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers and analysts.
Provide technical guidance on mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM).
Oversee code reviews, design sessions, and solution architecture.
Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to define project scope and deliverables.
Estimate effort, plan sprints, and allocate resources.
Track progress and ensure timely delivery of mainframe solutions.
Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications and enhancements.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Act as a point of contact for business and IT stakeholders regarding mainframe systems.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations.
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of existing mainframe applications.
Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
Manage incident response and root cause analysis for production issues.
