Brief Description:

The IT Cloud Manager will report to the Director of Information Technology and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of monitoring cloud activity, detecting potential cyber threats, investigating security incidents, and coordinating response actions to mitigate risks, all while ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures. The IT Cloud Manager will also be responsible for building, operating, maintaining, and continuous improvement of the underlying information technology infrastructure and cloud toolsets that are necessary for and support cloud operations (AWS and Azure).

Detailed Description:

  • Develop and execute the overall Cloud strategy, roadmap, and architecture to align with business goals and security requirements.
  • Define, document, and enforce Cloud policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and secure access management practices.
  • Ensure Cloud systems and processes comply with relevant regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA) and industry best practices.
  • Manage and support internal and external audits related to access controls.
  • Monitor Cloud systems for security events and anomalies.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to access breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with Cloud vendors, evaluate new technologies, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud professionals, fostering a collaborative and high performing environment.
  • Partner with other IT teams (e.g., Security, Infrastructure, Applications) and business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure Cloud solutions meet their requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Cloud systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Generate regular reports on Cloud metrics and compliance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Cloud trends, technologies, and threats, and recommend
  • improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Architect improvement for all the companies to reduce Cloud costs.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the newest Cloud technology and dynamically changing technical environments.
  • Demonstrable skills and managing AWS and Azure environments.
  • Strong threat hunting and incident detection skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity tools.
  • Self-starter with desire to gain new knowledge and solve interesting problems.
  • Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.

Manager IT Cloud

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of security protocols and principles.
  • Ability to assess risks and form mitigation options by defining compensating controls.
  • Wide breadth of technical knowledge across operating system, network, and monitoring technologies.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, complimented by presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective rapport at all levels of the organization.
  • Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) initiatives and safety programs.
  • Ability to work under stress, meet multiple deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered.
  • Display ability to interact effectively and courteously with all staff, management, and operations personnel; and, to answer all questions effectively in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
  • The understanding of the dichotomy between spirit of the law and letter of the law to help guide the organization appropriately in maintaining the security triad of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study OR 10+ years of experience designing, building, maintaining, and operating critical IT infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Cloud environment at a technical level, not related to governance and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in complex network vulnerability and penetration testing.
  • Advanced experience in Active Directory, Office 365 and Azure subscription/tenant administration and support.
  • Experience with automation via a scripting language (PowerShell preferred).
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Cloud Certifications like AWS Certified solution architect, Azure Administrator, CISSP
