Job Title: Senior Project Manager (IT) / Release Train Engineer

Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Location: 2300 Windy Ridge Pkwy #750, North, Atlanta, GA 30339

Pay Rate: $65 - $70/hr

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager (IT) / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support and lead agile execution across a large-scale Agile Release Train (ART). This role will focus on facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning and execution, driving cross-team collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement using SAFe methodology. Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, Agile delivery expertise, and hands-on experience with tools such as Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

Program Increment (PI) Planning & Execution

  • Organize and lead ART ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Track and support execution of ART deliverables, ensuring features meet the definition of done.
  • Promote alignment and collaboration across teams, product owners, and stakeholders using SAFe principles.

Delivery Performance & Flow Optimization

  • Monitor and improve delivery using flow metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, burndown charts).
  • Maintain ART dashboards and program boards for transparency and reporting.
  • Drive data quality and integrity in Azure DevOps; train and coach teams on best practices.

Feature & Capability Execution

  • Coordinate milestone planning, releases, and deployments across ARTs.
  • Manage dependencies and risks across teams and business units.
  • Collaborate with business, product, and delivery teams to remove impediments and align priorities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • In-depth understanding of the SAFe Agile framework and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Agile programs and ceremonies.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid background in coaching Agile teams and fostering a culture of self-organization and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps; experience with other enterprise Agile tools (e.g., Jira Align, Planview LeanKit, Rally) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Agile certifications preferred (e.g., SAFe RTE, SAFe SPC, SA, CSM, PMI-ACP).
  • Experience in the wealth management or finance industry is highly desirable.
