Job Title: Project Manager

Job Location: Austin, Texas- Onsite



Role Overview

  • Lead and manage one or more projects from initiation through closure
  • Plan, budget, schedule, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned projects
  • Provide senior-level project management, consultative services, and technical assistance
  • Coordinate across multiple initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
  • Work independently with limited direction and broad latitude for decision-making



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using established project management best practices
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource forecasts
  • Assess, analyze, research, and evaluate project requirements and implementation approaches
  • Coordinate and optimize operations and program-related project activities
  • Lead and manage special projects as assigned by leadership
  • Maintain coordination across multiple, related initiatives
  • Develop and maintain project management tools and documentation
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues and removal of project barriers
  • Maintain project management data for critical and high-visibility initiatives
  • Report project progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes to senior and executive leadership
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on project management standards, practices, and improvements
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions
  • Initiate, sponsor, manage, or support projects to maximize success across diverse initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards, governance, and best practices
  • Prepare and deliver concise, high-quality project documentation and presentations
  • Provide regular written and verbal status updates to stakeholders



Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in project management across multiple projects
  • Strong ability to research, gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information
  • Proven ability to identify problems, devise solutions, and prioritize competing issues
  • Experience developing and delivering reports identifying gaps in technology and operational effectiveness
  • Expertise in business process mapping and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Strong facilitation skills for meetings and group problem-solving sessions
  • Experience developing or contributing to:
    • Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Project charters
    • Design documentation
    • Test plans
    • Risk assessments
    • Project budgets, schedules, and cost projections
  • Experience managing projects across large, complex organizations
  • Proven ability to document and manage risks, issues, and contingency plans
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to ensure issue resolution and remove project impediments



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing written materials such as:
    • Briefing documents
    • Administrative reports
    • Executive-level presentations
  • Ability to summarize, escalate, and communicate issues appropriately
  • Experience developing and presenting weekly project status updates (written and verbal)
  • Experience conducting regular project team status meetings
  • Experience compiling and distributing project documentation, status reports, and budget updates



Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification - Required
    • Certification must be listed on the resume
    • Proof of certification may be requested
