Job Title: SAP BASIS Administrator
Location: Washington, D.C. (East Coast candidates preferred)
Duration: 12 months contract
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator responsible for end-to-end system administration, environment management, upgrades, performance tuning, and SAP BTP support. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting ability, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
SAP System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems across DEV/QA/PROD.
- Perform client copies, system refreshes, and environment setup.
- Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations (as applicable).
Transport Management
- Administer SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
- Manage and monitor transport requests across all landscapes.
System Upgrades & Maintenance
- Apply support packs, enhancement packs, patches, and kernel upgrades.
- Perform system health checks and ensure system security compliance.
Performance Monitoring & Tuning
- Conduct performance tuning of SAP applications and databases.
- Monitor system logs and proactively identify performance issues.
Database Administration
- Work with SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, or other supported DBs.
- Support database backup, restore, and performance optimization.
Operating Systems
- Administer SAP on Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms.
Backup & Recovery
- Manage backup/recovery procedures, BRTools, and DR processes.
Integration & Connectivity
- Configure RFC connections and integrations with third-party systems.
- Support interface troubleshooting and connectivity analysis.
SAP BTP Administration
- Manage global and subaccounts, entitlements, and service provisioning.
- Administer SAP Cloud Connector and connectivity to on-prem systems.
- Support BTP services including SAP Integration Suite.
Collaboration & Cutover Support
- Work closely with project teams during deployments and cutovers.
- Cross-train Tier-2 support teams and contribute to documentation.
