Description:
An AWS DevOps Cloud Engineer would be responsible for implementing and managing cloud-based DevOps solutions, specifically within the financial services sector.
This role combines expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices and a focus on the unique requirements and challenges of the financial industry.
Responsibilities:
Designing and Implementing AWS Infrastructure: This includes building and managing cloud environments, configuring resources like EC2, S3, and RDS, and ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Automating Infrastructure and Deployments: Using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automating application deployments.
Managing CI/CD Pipelines: Setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, potentially using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
Monitoring and Logging: Implementing monitoring solutions using CloudWatch and other tools to ensure system health and performance.
Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
Collaboration: Working closely with developers, operations teams, and security teams to deliver robust and compliant solutions.
Skills and Expertise:
AWS Services: Expertise in core AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and IAM, along with a strong understanding of AWS architecture best practices.
DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps principles, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and agile methodologies.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like CloudFormation and Terraform for automating infrastructure deployments.
CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks and building custom solutions.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of AWS security services and best practices for securing cloud environments.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with tools like CloudWatch and other monitoring solutions.
Financial Industry Knowledge: Understanding financial industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
