Title: Winder Technician - 1st Shift (6:30am to 3:00pm) - Onsite

Description:


Winding coil on machine or directly into slots of rotors, stators, and armatures.
Winding tape around coils by hand to insulate coils.
Cutting and forms sheet insulation to fit slots.
Inserting coils into slots and pounds to compress and shape windings.
Painting coils with insulating varnish or enamel.
Using brazing equipment consisting of induction, resistance, or torch.
Obtaining critical measurements and create wiring and blocking diagrams.
Cleaning and prepare coils prior to winding.
Interpret Mechanical Drawings
Electrical Testing
Mechanical Assembler or Tech Background
No Industry experience required but has vocational/education background

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):
2+ yrs of winding experience
Be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work overtime hours and shiftwork when needed
Have good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style and able to effectively communicate

Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies):
Mechanical skills

Technical Skills:
Hand tools, measurement tools

Education Qualifications (Required / Preferred):
High School Diploma or equivalent
