Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to configure, design, and develop solutions on the ServiceNow Platform. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in ServiceNow development, system integrations, and compliance with State and Federal IT requirements. This role requires strong technical skills, hands-on development experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership, technical staff, and external stakeholders.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience configuring, designing, and developing in the ServiceNow platform.

  • Experience with data extractions and conversions.

  • Development experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, JSON, and SQL.

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with Microsoft and third-party systems.

  • Experience using Discovery to populate CMDB and implementing Service Mapping for business service visualization.

  • Knowledge of Customer Service Management (CSM) module.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.

  • ServiceNow Certifications:

    • Certified System Administrator (CSA)

    • Certified Application Developer (CAD)

  • Knowledge of State and Federal IT requirements, including procurement and contract monitoring.

  • Experience with Project Management practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience configuring, designing, and developing in the ServiceNow platform.

  • ServiceNow Certifications:

    • Certified Implementation Specialist IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM)

    • Certified Implementation Specialist Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM)

  • Experience with:

    • Data extractions and conversions.

    • Performance tuning of ServiceNow applications.

    • Data security practices.

    • Configuring custom email templates.

    • Implementing security policies using ACLs (Access Control Lists), roles, groups, and authentication mechanisms.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, configurations, and customizations.

    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

    • Ability to analyze, design, and implement technical solutions aligned with business requirements.

    • Familiarity with State and Federal IT compliance standards.

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Effective team collaboration and stakeholder communication abilities.
