Job Details

Role: Senior Oracle/PGSQL Database Admin and Automation Developer

Initial Location: Nashville, TN (for a couple of months for Knowledge Transition)

Target Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Pay Rate: $53/hr onwards (Open for W2/1099/C2C)



Primary Skills (Must have skills):

Oracle Administration & Operations with programming knowledge

Secondary Skills (Good to have skills):

PostgreSQL, Azure Cloud, DevOps, Unix, Python, IoC

Experience Level: 5+ years

Education: Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science or equivalent Degree

Key Responsibilities:

1.Utilize your extensive knowledge to maintain and support very large databases (up to 350TB), ensuring high availability and disaster recovery implementations using proven Oracle technologies.

2.Work collaboratively within a global database and data analytical team to provide high-level database expertise for the day-to-day operations of both production and development environments.

3.Implement automation strategies to improve processes and tools while maintaining compliance with established SLAs and achieving stringent MTTR targets.

4.Participate in capacity planning and database performance optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

5.Contribute to innovative database solutions and participate in the certification of database products.

6.Engage with various business streams to host Trading, Clearing, Regulatory, and Financial systems, translating complex technical requirements into tangible outcomes.

Qualifications:

1.5+ years of experience in Database Administration, primarily focused on Oracle environments.

2.Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Azure Cloud, DevOps practices, and programming languages including Python.

3.Strong knowledge of Unix and familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

4.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

1.Demonstrated experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for high availability solutions.

2.Experience with automation frameworks for database management.

3.Recognition for a problem-solving mindset with the capability to analyze issues and design effective solutions.
