About the Role

We re seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AWS Python Developer to join our dynamic team onsite in Reston, VA. If you live and breathe cloud-native architecture, understand the nuts and bolts of the AWS ecosystem, and thrive in a high-impact, highly collaborative role this opportunity is for you!

What You ll Do

  • Architect and implement AWS platform services aligned with Well-Architected Framework principles

  • Design and develop solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Aurora, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, and more

  • Migrate and modernize workloads from on-premise to the cloud

  • Build monitoring frameworks and use tools like ElasticSearch, Redis, and Cloud-native monitoring tools

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into cloud-native architecture

  • Develop proofs-of-concept and scalable production systems using Python in a serverless or containerized setup

  • Work with Agile/Kanban methodologies to deliver high-quality, high-velocity cloud solutions

Must-Have Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on AWS architecture experience

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework

  • Strong Python development background in a cloud-first environment

  • Experience with Big Data, hybrid cloud/on-prem environments

  • Proficiency in monitoring distributed systems using AWS or open-source tools

  • Proven ability to lead architecture reviews, create PoCs, and engage with executive stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree required

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with Elasticache, Redis, ElasticSearch

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices

  • Strong communication and leadership presence
