Job Title: Data Engineer (Data Integration /Informatica/Snowflake/SQL)- Need locals In Person Interview at Austin, TX

Duration: 8 Months

Location: Austin, TX

Responsibilities:

Business & Systems Analysis
  • Understand business objectives, identify problems, and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and feasibility studies for system improvements.
  • Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and existing systems to recommend automation or enhancements.
  • Document detailed user needs, program functions, and system modification steps.
  • Review system capabilities and constraints to determine feasibility of requested changes.

Data Engineering & ETL Development
  • Acquire data from multiple data sources for integration and analytics use-cases.
  • Develop complex SQL scripts for transforming data into dimensional models, creating views and materialized views (Oracle).
  • Build automation using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Validate and verify SQL code, Informatica workflows, and database objects.
  • Develop automated verification and validation processes.

Agile SDLC & Project Participation
  • Serve as technical lead for an agile development team.
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, retros).
  • Create Epics, User Stories, and tasks for sprint deliverables.
  • Assist in DD&I phases including design, development, testing, deployment, and operations support.

Testing & Deployment
  • Conduct integration, load, and stress testing for data pipelines.
  • Support internal and external deployment/publication of data solutions.
  • Support operations, troubleshooting, and enhancements for the data integration hub.

Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work closely with Architects and Data Engineering teams on design strategies.
  • Develop mockups and validate with business stakeholders.
  • Produce technical specifications, diagrams, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with configuration and implementation of development tools.

Required education and experience:
  • 8+ years of Experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica Power Center or IICS.
  • 8+ years of Experiencing acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources/technologies using Informatica Power Center or IICS for use by a Tableau data visualization object. Data source techs should include Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access and Adobe PDF.
  • 8+ years of Experience designing and developing complex Oracle and/or Snowflake SQL scripts that are fast and efficient
  • 8+ years of Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience as a system analyst for a data analytics, performance management system, or data warehousing project.
  • 8+ years of technical writing and diagraming skills, including proficiency with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin), and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • 8+ years of Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
  • 8+ years of Proven ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

Preferred Skills:
  • 6+ years of Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 6+ years of Effectively manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize conflicting assignments, and switch quickly between assignments, as required.
  • 4+ years of Experience on an agile sprint team
  • 4+ years of Understanding of security principles and how they apply to healthcare data
  • 4+ years of Experience with state of the art software components for a performance metrics data visualization or business intelligence environment
  • 4+ years of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • 4+ years of Prior experience with an HHS agency
  • 4+ years of Prior experience working with PII or PHI data
  • 4+ years of Experience designing and developing scripts using Python
  • 4+ years of Experience with JIRA software
  • 2+ years of Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • 2+ years of Experience designing and developing code using Java and JavaScript
  • 2+ years of Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Git Actions
  • 2+ years of Experience as a Mulesoft developer
  • 2+ years of Experience developing code in C#
