Position Overview:

A leading financial institution is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical AML Remediation Lookback Program. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in regulatory compliance, data-intensive project delivery, and enterprise-level program management within large-scale financial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of a multi-year AML remediation initiative focused on historical transaction lookbacks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Data Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Data Oversight: Coordinate the collection, analysis, and review of historical transaction data to identify AML risks and remediation opportunities.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all project activities meet regulatory expectations and internal audit standards.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare and deliver project updates, risk assessments, and progress reports to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Project Governance: Manage budgets, timelines, resources, and risks in accordance with enterprise PMO standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of project management experience in financial services, with at least 5 years focused on AML or regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Industry: Experience working in large, matrixed financial institutions with scaled PMO structures.
  • AML Expertise: Strong understanding of AML regulations, remediation frameworks, and transaction lookback methodologies.
  • Data-Driven Projects: Demonstrated success managing data-heavy initiatives, including data extraction, cleansing, and analysis.
  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to thrive in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 banks or similar large-scale financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory enforcement actions and remediation best practices.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $120.00/hr.
