HOW A WEBSITE DESIGN UI/UX DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As Website Design UI/UX Developer, creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered digital experiences. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with technical expertise to design and implement responsive websites that delight users and meet business goals.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree; OR in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required

• Design & Development
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web projects.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible websites.
  • Implement UI/UX best practices to ensure seamless user journeys.
• Collaboration
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into design solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Optimization
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine designs.
  • Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
• Proficiency in design tools Front End
  • HTML for structure, CSS for styling, and JavaScript for interactivity
  • Proficiency in a framework like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with tools like jQuery or state management libraries like Redux.
  • Understanding of UX principles to create user-friendly interfaces.
• Proficiency in design tools Back End
  • Fluency in at least one server-side language, such as Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Java, or others.
  • Knowledge of SQL for relational databases (like MySQL or PostgreSQL) and potentially NoSQL databases (like MongoDB or Firebase).
  • Understanding how to build and consume APIs, including knowledge of REST and HTTP.
  • Experience with web servers like Nginx or Apache
• Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, and OWASP ZAP.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Security Clearance Level:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
• This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $94,676 - $128,092. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
