The likely salary range for this position is $94,676 - $128,092. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree; OR in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required
Required Experience:

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Design & Development
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web projects.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible websites.
- Implement UI/UX best practices to ensure seamless user journeys.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Optimization
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine designs.
- Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
- Proficiency in design tools Front End
- HTML for structure, CSS for styling, and JavaScript for interactivity
- Proficiency in a framework like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Familiarity with tools like jQuery or state management libraries like Redux.
- Understanding of UX principles to create user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools Back End
- Fluency in at least one server-side language, such as Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Java, or others.
- Knowledge of SQL for relational databases (like MySQL or PostgreSQL) and potentially NoSQL databases (like MongoDB or Firebase).
- Understanding how to build and consume APIs, including knowledge of REST and HTTP.
- Experience with web servers like Nginx or Apache
- Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, and OWASP ZAP.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Security Clearance Level:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
