Job Details

Role: Network Engineer
Work Location: Greenwood Village, Denver, CO- onsite (preference to locals)

Duration: Long term

Must skills : Telecom background. Experience or knowledge MVNO, Wi-Fi offload, some 5G Core knowledge.


  • 24x7 Network Operations environment. Depending on business group, on-call work may be an essential function of the job.
    May work in Network Lab environment
    Occasional travel as required
    Skills
    Ability to read, write and speak the English language
    Data networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Optical Transport)
    Extensive knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and
    Transport technologies and protocols
    Extensive knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
    Extensive knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model, using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations, basic network devices and basic network appliances, and network designing software, such as Visio
    Ability to perform duties in a very fast-paced team environment, and learn new technology quickly
    Certification
    Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
    Juniper Network Certified Specialist (JNCIS or JNCIP)
    Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)

    Demonstrated in-depth data networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Optical Transport)
    Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
    Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology, using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations, basic network devices and basic network appliances and network designing software, such as Visio and Lucid
    Working knowledge with BGP protocol
    Experience with network automation and configuration management tools such as Python, Bash, Shell, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
    Experience working with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog
    Utilize your expertise in network design and implementation, including leaf and spine architectures involving overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN
    Experience working with virtualization technologies and network storage solutions such as SAN,NAS
    Working experience with cisco and juniper routers
    Understanding of YAML files and how they are used in network automation
    Experience leading the technical design and implementation of large-scale network infrastructure projects
    Knowledge of cloud networking principles and technologies, such as, load balancers, and firewalls in AWS or other on-prem cloud environments
