Commercial Security Installation Technician

Job Description

We're hiring experienced Commercial Security Technicians to support a growing backlog of work in Alabama. This role involves installing, programming, and troubleshooting commercial burglar alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems. What You'll Do

• Install and program commercial burglar alarm systems (Honeywell, DMP, Bosch)
• Use Compass (Honeywell) and RPS (Bosch) software interfaces for system setup
• Install and configure CCTV and card access systems in commercial environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with intrusion, CCTV, and access control systems
• Provide high-quality customer support and communicate clearly with national accounts
• Perform system testing and signal verification
• Maintain truck inventory and ensure proper documentation of installations
• Train customers on system functionality and ensure satisfaction
• Support upgrades, additions, and new installations
• Collaborate with team members and assist in mentoring junior technicians

What You Bring

• 3-6 years of experience installing and programming commercial burglar alarm systems
• 2-6 years of experience troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems
• Experience with CCTV and access control installation and service
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally to customers
• High school diploma or vocational training
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

Nice to Have

• Experience with fire alarm systems (Silent Knight, Firelight, Bosch)
• Knowledge of local and national codes
• Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters)
• BICSI certification

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
