IT Expense Analyst I - Galveston, TX - ONSITE

American National is looking for IT Expense Analyst/Financial Analyst to work with the Corporate Technology Services (CTS) Finance team to plan, organize, and coordinate the development and implementation of financial operations, processes, policies and procedures in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. You will aid in the financial, budgetary, forecasting, and accounting operations for CTS.

This is an entry level role, best suited for recent accounting/finance graduates!

What Will You Do?

• Handle routine assignments related to expense and budget transactions of moderate to no complexity in assigned area(s), which may include planning, budgeting, and tracking.
• Use conceptual knowledge to analyze and identify expense inconsistencies, and variances in their assigned area(s).
• Work with more senior levels, to clearly communicate the findings.
• Readily adopt process improvements led by more senior levels.
• Maintain all primary, supplemental, and related documents, spreadsheets, databases, folders, and systems for their assigned areas(s)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree. Associate degree with additional relevant work experience will be considered
• No experience required
• A general understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Proficiency in Excel
• High attention to detail is required in all aspects to ensure proper allocation of CTS spend to the general ledger
• Proven time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Experience with SAP or Power BI is a plus
