Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Malvern, Pennsylvania. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
Administer and support firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks and Cisco to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Monitor and manage VPN tunnels, remote access solutions, and site-to-site connections.
Deploy, optimize, and oversee both wired and wireless network infrastructure.
Collaborate effectively with teams such as Deskside Support, Server Administration, and Information Security to align IT operations.
Assist in ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Document network configurations, changes, incident reports, and maintain asset inventories.
Provide Tier 2 support for network-related issues and escalate complex problems as necessary.
Participate in IT change management processes to ensure smooth transitions.
Adhere to best practices in incident, problem, and change management within service operations.
Requirements
1-4 years of experience in network engineering or IT support roles.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, VLANs, and routing protocols.
Hands-on experience with network and firewall platforms, preferably Palo Alto Networks and Cisco.
Familiarity with secure remote access technologies such as Cisco AnyConnect.
Experience working with enterprise wireless systems and protocols.
Knowledge of network security principles and firewall policy management.
Proficiency in documentation and clear communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams effectively.
