The Business Systems Analyst/Product Owner is responsible for defining customer needs in both technical and business contexts, ensuring solutions meet objectives, and guiding business analysis activities for high-visibility projects. This role involves mentoring less experienced staff and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for various projects.
Responsibilities:- Elicit and document user requirements to meet business objectives and set customer expectations.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for one or more lines of business on various projects.
- Guide technical and customer departments in the development of systems.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer about the business units' direction to support teams.
- Ensure accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs and test plans.
- Provide business direction for system changes and validate business needs for solutions.
- Agile ALM tools (e.g., Agility, Jira)
- Defect management tools
- Release management tools
- Experience with CMS
- Strong communication skills
- Mentoring and leadership abilities
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- 8 years of IT business analysis experience
- USA residency requirement: Must have resided in the US for at least three of the last five years
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Or 4 years of job-related work experience
- Or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
