Job Responsibilities:
Collaborating with industrial designers, hardware, software, product
integrity, and technology teams to define the vision of a product.
Exploring multiple product form factors and developing new product
architectures. Defining kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic
optimization. Integrating mechanisms, sensors, and other
electromechanical components.
Partnering with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to
optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability.
Ensuring design meets requirements through the life of the product
through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and
failure analysis.
Key Qualifications:
2+ yrs experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
Solid engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics
and mechanism design, and manufacturing.
Great communication skills: written and verbal, with the ability to clearly
communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorms.
Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment and dependably complete
individual work.
Prior experience in other relevant industries promotes diverse perspectives and approaches to solving problems. The team culture fosters a constant learning environment where many new and relevant skills can be developed on the job!
Education:
Bachelor s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or closely-related major.
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months (with a possibility to extend)

Pay Rate: $ 60.00 - $ 75.00 (DOE)
