AWS DevOps Engineer


BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated AWS DevOps Engineer for an opportunity in Remote (Canada)!


Position Title: AWS DevOps Engineer


Location: Remote (Canada)


Anticipated Start Date: 04/29

Expected Duration: 6+ months contract + renewable


Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=30 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [REMOTE]


Pay Range:


Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).



Role/ Responsibilities:




  • Assist in the design and development of the account application



  • Influencing peers, juniors, and seniors both within the organization and across the account.



  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to understand and solve problems, come up with creative solutions, and help with tracking and delivering within the release plan



  • Collaborate with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs



Desired Skills and Experience:




  • 3+ years of Experience as a DevOps Engineer with technical expertise in Build and Release Management.



  • Hands on experience in AWS provisioning and good knowledge of AWS Services like EC2, ECS(Mandatory),EKS(Mandatory), S3, ELB, IAM, VPC, Auto scaling, CloudWatch, OpenSearch.



  • Experience in working on tools like Teamcity, Jfrog, Gitlab.



  • Knowledge of Cloud formation scripts for automation purpose.



  • Experience in working on GitHub actions.



  • Good Experience in Dockerizing the Applications, In Docker file, Creating Docker images and configuring the Docker Containers.



  • Experience in working on Fluent bit & FluentD.



  • Experience in creating of DynamoDB tables, DocumentDB, and AuroraDB.



  • Experience in creating of Redis cluster and monitoring the metrics.



  • Experience in Monitoring the DataDog and checking the latency issues if any.



  • Knowledge in Solace.



  • Knowledge in Neptune.



Soft Skills




  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills. Verbal communication should be clear, as well as written skills using US English.



  • The candidate should be capable of quickly grasping high-level concepts and can communicate them to others.



  • The candidate can work on a fast-moving development team, be candid about the status of their work with the development team.



  • The candidate cares about quality.
