Reliability Engineer
South Jordan or Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract 1+ year
Start Date: January 3 rd , 2026
Pay range: $45-$60/hr DOE
Job Requirements:
Ensure daily monitoring, alert validation, site subject matter expert (SME) engagement and continuous integration of predictive insights with plant asset management and technical teams.
Daily monitoring of Aveva PRiSM alerts.
Validation of alerts to filter out false positives.
Logging of alerts in tracking systems (case management).
Initial fault diagnostics review (bearing defect, winding failure, lubrication issue, etc.).
Escalation of validated alerts to site condition monitoring/maintenance engineers.
Coordinate with SMEs to review alerts and initiate corrective actions.
Track open cases through resolution and provide regular status updates.
Document feedback from SMEs and incorporate lessons into future diagnostics.
Review and cross-check alerts with related work orders and notifications in SAP PM module.
Review downtime data in Aveva Ampla for correlation with predictive alerts.
Incorporate process data and historical PI trends for contextual diagnosis.
Participate in daily/weekly site leadership meetings to provide predictive insights.
Review plant communication emails for operational context affecting asset health.
Provide concise summaries of analytics-driven alerts for leadership reporting.
Weekly and monthly performance reports (alerts generated, validated, false positives, actions taken).
Case study documentation of significant predictive interventions (e.g., avoided downtime).
Job Requirements:
Experience with Aveva PRiSM Predictive Analytics software.
Familiarity with OSI PI, SAP PM module, Aveva Ampla, Bentley ALIM
Background in rotating equipment, electrical motors, pumps, and mining/processing equipment.
Experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or predictive maintenance.
Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills in conjunction with a technical background at an industrial site.
MSHA and OSHA certified. Can have them certified.
