THE WORK
As a key member of our systems engineering, team you will:
Evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to verify compliance with technical, legal, and administrative requirements.
Convey detailed engineering ideas in accessible language for non-technical audiences.
Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and customer specifications.
Create additional materials for business presentations.
Review and edit Basis of Estimates for compliance to assure successful negotiations and cost-effective program execution.
Collaborate with estimating authors to align BOEs with estimating rules and guidelines.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering integrated product team leads, finance, contracts and pricing.
Create Administrative Engineering Memorandums summarizing projects and estimates per a prescribed format.
Support estimate reviews with engineering functional leadership.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
10 or more years of experience working with aerospace product development business proposals and estimates to the US Government
Experience developing Rough Order of Magnitude / Budgetary estimates, Engineering Change Proposals, and Full-Scale Development proposals.
Experience influencing senior leaders on how to improve proposal-related deliverables and coordination across functional groups.
Experience with the creation and adherence to Resource Allocation Matrices.
Desired skills
Demonstrated experience in using analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of DFARs as they relate to providing compliant Bases of Estimate that are current, accurate and complete
Track record of working with changing priorities and able to meet aggressive schedules
Adept in Microsoft Office and SAP applications

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
