About This Role
We believe people should love what they do - in a Test Engineering role, you will be responsible for:
-Testing and integrating new technology into our family of USV products throughout the lifecycle of the program.
-Leading a team of 2-4 test engineers including allocation and monitoring of daily tasking and overall responsibility for daily testing operations related to the program for which you are assigned.
-Executing test engineering tasks - including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, design review support, test planning, readiness reviews, integration, verification, test/failure review board management, risk management, and engineering analysis.
-Preparing and presenting test engineering work products - including (but not limited to) test plans, procedures, and reports to internal review teams and external customers.
-Working cross functionally with project management, project engineering, and engineering functional leaders to provide project planning for test activities, resource allocation requests, test metrics tracking, and test status.
-Serving as a resource to others within the department and the organization.
-Interacting daily with US Navy customers, program managers, planners, and technicians.
-Driving tasks to completion independently.
Education & Experience
-Bachelor's Degree in engineering (software, electrical, mechanical, systems, or computer engineering) or physical sciences and a minimum 5 years of experience in a systems engineering or design engineering role required OR
-Master's Degree in engineering or physical sciences with 3 or more years related experience.
-2 years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred
Qualifications:
-Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required
-Travel Required: 25% - 30% travel
-Effective writing and presentation skills.
-A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio).
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and MagicDraw (or equivalent)
-Experience in a DoD environment and model based systems engineering
-Naval system experience according to military standards preferred
