Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Application Development Manager to support an award winning tech company. This position will be in Durham, NC 3 days a week. The Application Development Manager will support critical applications and lead the process of enhancing new developments.

Responsibilities of the Application Development Manager include:

  • Help the organization align their business needs with critical applications development
  • Prioritize tasks within any digital or product releases, updates, software implementations, etc.
  • Making decisions for system architecture or capabilities and execute on project plans
  • Recommend improvements for a variety of components related to the applications


Qualifications for the Application Development Manager include:

  • 6+ years of experience in an IT environment, preferably supporting applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field
  • Lead experience - strong background in life cycle / process of development, testing, and deployment (won't be hands on doing any of these but managing the teams and vendors who do this)
  • Project Management experience over several years


Compensation for the Application Development Manager include:

  • Salary Range: $140,000-160,000
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
