Our challenge

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Architect with a strong understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX) and Capital Markets to design, build, and implement a robust data architecture for our financial reporting systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our data infrastructure to support complex financial reporting requirements.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in FX and Capital Markets to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical data requirements.
  • Design and develop a data architecture for FX and Capital Markets reporting, considering data sources, transformation processes, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain data models for FX and Capital Markets data, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Select and implement appropriate data management tools and technologies for data integration, cleansing, transformation, and governance.
  • Implement data privacy and security measures in compliance with regulatory requirements specific to FX and Capital Markets.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's or master s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on the Foreign Exchange market.
  • Deep understanding of Capital Markets reporting requirements and experience with regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools and technologies, such as ER/Studio, Enterprise Architect, or SQL Server Data Tools.
  • Strong experience with database platforms, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, and knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Certifications related to data architecture, data engineering, or database management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and understanding of their data services.
  • Knowledge of ML/AI techniques for predictive analysis in FX trading.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a financial institution or a consultancy specialized in financial services.
