Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Administrator / Developer
Job Location:- Jackson, Mississippi (Hybrid)
Full Time
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Administrator/Developer to support and enhance our newly implemented IT Service Management (ITSM) module. This role will be responsible for the ongoing administration, maintenance, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will leverage deep technical expertise and best practices to drive operational excellence and deliver scalable solutions within the ServiceNow environment.
Responsibilities:-
System Administration
o Serve as the primary administrator for the ServiceNow ITSM module.
o Monitor system health, performance, and functionality.
o Manage user roles, groups, and permissions.
o Ensure adherence to platform governance, change control, and development standards.
Break/Fix Support
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the ITSM module.
o Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement permanent fixes.
o Manage incident and request queues related to ServiceNow issues.
Development & Configuration
o Design and configure workflows, forms, fields, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and service catalog items within the ITSM module.
o Develop and maintain integrations with other systems, as needed.
o Create and maintain reports and dashboards.
Enhancements & Continuous Improvement
o Analyze business requirements and propose scalable, secure solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
o Provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing ITSM workflows and features.
o Prepare for future module implementations (e.g., Public Sector Digital Services).
Training & Documentation
o Create and maintain system documentation and user guides.
o Train internal staff on use and capabilities of the ServiceNow ITSM module.
Collaboration & Planning
o Serve as liaison between IT leadership, business units, and ServiceNow support/vendor resources.
o Participate in roadmap discussions and assist in planning future ServiceNow expansions.
Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience
o 4+ years Experience in ServiceNow Administrator or Developer
o 2+ year Experience in Public Sector or Medicaid Environment
o Strong Understanding and hands-on experience in the ServiceNow ITSM Module
o Experience with ServiceNow expansion preparation with Public Sector Digital Services or other ServiceNow Modules
o Familiarity with ServiceNow update sets, scoped applications, and integrations

o Proven ability to transfer technical knowledge clearly and effectively to team members.

Certifications
o Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - REQUIRED
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer PREFERRED
