Position Summary:
Our partner operates a large, multi-location services business with a broad national footprint and an expanding international reach, serving both individual and commercial customers. In this high-growth environment, search visibility directly impacts revenue across hundreds of markets, making organic search a primary strategic lever as the organization scales through new openings and acquisitions. As the SEO Manager, you will lead search performance end-to-end, overseeing local and national initiatives, technical tradeoffs, vendor direction, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering. The work focuses on accelerating organic growth for hundreds of physical locations while ensuring site-wide architectural health. This role intersects with how the platform is built, how pages are indexed, and how search technology evolves, making it a strong fit for a leader who enjoys owning complex, high-impact systems.

Experience and Education:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing or equivalent experience/field
- Experience owning SEO for multi-location businesses with hundreds of physical locations
- Background in environments with large, complex site architectures
- Proven hands-on execution across both local and national SEO initiatives
- Experience partnering directly with engineering teams on technical SEO topics
- Experience directing SEO vendors and validating their output
- History of operating in environments with limited structure or evolving processes
- Demonstrated ability to validate SEO findings beyond automated tools

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end SEO roadmap across local and national search
- Design and maintain scalable SEO systems for hundreds of locations
- Oversee and optimize Google Business Profiles at enterprise scale
- Prevent and resolve duplicate, inaccurate, or conflicting business listings
- Guide and evaluate SEO vendors, including content and listing providers
- Validate technical SEO issues through manual analysis and crawling
- Translate SEO audits into clear, actionable engineering requests
- Validate technical SEO issues before escalating to development teams
- Partner with engineering to align site structure with SEO growth goals
- Ensure content strategy supports, rather than competes with, location pages
- Balance SEO impact with platform constraints and site performance realities
- Protect organic search performance during site changes and expansions
