Job Details

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • Oracle Database 12c+: Strong hands-on experience
  • Security Management: Enforce database access controls and encryption standards
  • Backup & Recovery: Implement robust disaster recovery strategies
  • Working technical knowledge of technology practices.
  • Strong knowledge designing, implementing, migrating and troubleshooting.
  • Certifications at Professional or Expert level preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with multiple technology disciplines is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • This position is required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering customer delight
  • Travel up to 25% of the time


Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $120,000 to 135,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Engineer within WWT, you will be working on exciting infrastructure driven projects for Fortune 500 customers across all verticals. Our global infrastructure planning and deployment services deliver thousands of projects each year. From employing our methodologies at hundreds of sites to leveraging complete enterprise design services, customers trust our infrastructure experts to assess the technology they have today and design the solutions they need for tomorrow.

The Senior Engineer's role is to ensure that WWT/industry best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment and operations. This individual provides technical guidance and leadership to the customer and project engineering team and ensures project timelines are being met. They will be the technical point of contact for the customer and provide design, migration and deployment guidance.

The Data Center DBA is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of database systems hosted within enterprise data centers. This role ensures high availability, data integrity, and security across mission-critical platforms, supporting both internal operations and customer-facing services.

Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Monitoring: Oversee database platforms for performance and availability
  • Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues across applications
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for systems and procedures
  • Project Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors
  • Monitors performance and troubleshooting problem areas as needed.
  • Strategic Input: Provide technical direction and contribute to long-term planning for database infrastructure
