Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Engineer/Estimator to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:
  • On-Site Support to customer/client providing cost estimating services specific to the following definable features of work: vertical construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation, earthwork, aggregate processing, concrete placement, and testing, LEED guidelines, and data management.
  • Responsibilities include providing review and analysis of multiple construction contractor's schedules for projects including construction of military site buildings such as dormitories, and medical facilities, training centers and classrooms, visitor lodging facilities and operations centers.
  • Provide assistance and technical guidance to engineers/architects exercising construction oversight and design management for construction program.

The ideal Cost Engineer/Estimator will be able to:
  • Analyze and perform detailed cost estimates for extensive architectural/engineering alterations and modifications to existing and new facilities.
  • Analyze designs, drawings, proposals, scopes of work, and/or specifications to determine cost projections, and developing comprehension budget cost estimates for complex military construction buildings, MEP systems and infrastructure for all facility project types.
  • Development of detailed cost estimates supporting projects under construction involving either Design-Build or Design-Bid-Build.
  • Demonstratable experience with the use of applicable Estimating Software, such as RSMEANS Online, Success Estimator, MC2 and Timberline, Microsoft Office products and other systems and software.
  • Experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), specifically Revit is desirable.
  • Professional knowledge of cost engineering concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques necessary to plan, construct maintain a wide range of engineering projects.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Construction Management or Architectural or Engineering college curriculum (four) 4-year degree minimum.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience working with Cost Estimating on commercial/industrial type facilities contracts with at least five (5) valued in excess of $5O million.
  • Familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Microsoft Project, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.
  • Prior experience working on federal government projects desired.
  • Willingness to relocate to the San Antonio, TX area
