POSITION SUMMARY:
The Factory Sr Manager Manufacturing Excellence is responsible for the development, alignment, and execution of a factory wide performance improvement strategy. The role acts as the center of expertise and single point of contact for Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) in the factory. This role is accountable for NCE Implementation Strategy, FI Pillar activities, and Industrial Engineering responsibilities within the factory.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, align, cascade and execute the Factory Performance Improvement Strategy:1- Co-develop Factory improvement strategy that considers:
- Business priorities
- Loss Analysis / External Benchmarks
- 3 years planned progression of KPI's, People and work place transformation (Factory Vision).
2- Gain alignment from the FLT / Key Stakeholders (VPoM) around the 3 years plan and cascade across all factory levels (communication strategy).
3- Partner with Factory Leadership Team and Local Leadership Teams to translate the factory improvement strategy into Execution Plans to deliver the expected results that include:
- NCE rollout plans
- Other factory key enablers (Digital, CAPEX,..etc)
- Key improvement projects
- Key competency building activities
- External support requirements
4- Support the execution of the improvement plan by:
- Ensures proper governance / routines at FLT/LLT levels to track execution progression and improvement sustainability
- Spend time on shop floor to evaluate maturity progression and identify key opportunities.
- Provide guidance and feedback to FLT/LLT and align on corrective actions to adjust execution plans
Develop Critical Competence within Key Members of Factory
- Develop Factory Leadership Team / Pillar Owners ability to identify opportunities to transform workplace, people, and behaviors to deliver results through GEMBA visits
- Partner with HR / Training & Learning Pillar to establish and evaluate robustness of function/pillar capability plan
- Train and coach Factory Leadership Team / Pillar Owners on needed system competences based on development needs and escalate for external support as needed
Leads NCE Implementation Strategy; Accountable for FI pillar and Industrial Performance related activities
Leads Factory Leadership Team and Local Leadership Teams in building long term NCE Rollout Plan
Assist Factory in establishing the right organization (people and structure - Committees, Pillars, WGs, etc.) to support NCE rollout plan
Evaluates maturity of key systems and provides feedback to functional / pillar leads
Lead FI Pillar, which includes development competence building and health of FI systems and routines (Problem solving, Project & Stakeholder Management, Loss Intelligence, etc.)
Responsible for development, competence building, and health of Industrial Performance systems & routines, including: Labor utilization studies, data reliability, SAP BOM/Master Data, Planning Rate Reviews, Asset Intensity systems (NSAM), St 21-908, Capacity Utilization, etc.)

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired

EXPERIENCE:
  • 8-10+ years in a manufacturing or continuous improvement environment, required.
  • Food or CPG experience preferred which includes:
    • 2-3 Years' Minimum years of direct production/maintenance floor experience
  • 2-3 Years' Experience working with factory management/leadership team
  • Success in Leading & Developing cross functional teams
  • 2-3 Years' experience of project management, loss intelligence, & advanced problem solving
  • 2-3 Years Minimum years in Goal Alignment/TPM/Lean implementation

SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools including Power BI, MES Systems, SAP, nSAM/DMO and other visualization tools/data analytics experience preferred
  • Strong leadership in cultural change management & managing multiple complex priorities and business connections
  • Strong coaching skills, specifically coaching autonomy, continuous improvement, and problem solving
  • Ability to understand/learn new manufacturing processes and quickly identify their challenges and areas of opportunity
  • Experience in developing Line labor standards, Budget preparation/review, and line capability/speed studies, Labor Studies, Line balancing
  • Advanced knowledge of TPM
  • Strong Problem-Solving capabilities
  • Solid understanding of Change Management
  • Demonstrated track record and competence on TPM and Lean and/or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and implementation.
  • Cultural change agent working with hourly operators and senior stakeholders
  • Project Management capabilities
