Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT SCADA Project Manager to oversee large-scale SCADA upgrade and replacement projects. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating complex projects to ensure goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SCADA architecture, software configuration, and project lifecycle processes. This position plays a crucial role in driving decisions, collaborating across functions, and aligning project milestones to achieve strategic modernization objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate SCADA-related projects to achieve G&P Modernization objectives, ensuring alignment with business requirements and project lifecycle.
  • Apply expertise and leadership skills to advise the project team, stakeholders, and sponsors, resolving issues and driving project success.
  • Measure and report on project performance, providing updates to the leadership team and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with system integrators and software vendors, while mentoring team members on SCADA project development processes.
  • Develop and implement integrated project plans, collaborating with parallel initiatives to ensure comprehensive project delivery.
  • Engage actively in system design and execution phases, leveraging technical skills for troubleshooting and strategic planning.
  • Provide mentorship and support to the project team, ensuring integration of best practices, risk management, and effective transition planning.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor s degree in IT-related field or engineering.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in project management, with at least three (3) years in IT or a related business area.
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, fast-paced projects and manage detailed project plans.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and advanced PC skills.
  • Experience with SCADA system integrations and familiarity with MQTT, OPC-UA, and OPC-DA protocols.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and SCADA terminology is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
