SAP Consultant with Refunds

Job Description:

The SAP Consultant Refunds is responsible for configuring, managing, and supporting all refund-related processes within the SAP system. The role ensures accurate financial postings, compliance with internal controls, and seamless integration between financial and sales modules to enhance refund efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain refund and credit memo processes within SAP FI, AR, and SD modules.
• Support the end-to-end refund cycle from initiation and approval to payment and posting.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Finance, and Sales teams to resolve refund exceptions and ensure accurate accounting.
• Configure automatic payment programs (APP) for customer refunds and vendor returns.
• Develop and maintain refund validation rules, workflows, and approval hierarchies.
• Perform testing (unit, integration, and UAT) for refund enhancements and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
• Support SAP S/4HANA migration or enhancement projects related to refund management.
• Create user guides, SOPs, and training material for refund processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems (Master s preferred).
• 3 6 years of SAP experience in FI-AR, FI-AP, or SD-Billing modules.
• Strong knowledge of refund, credit, and debit memo processes.
• Experience configuring payment methods for refunds via bank transfer, check, or credit card.
• Understanding of tax and financial compliance in refund operations.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
