As a Microsoft SeniorDigital Solution Engineer (DSE) for Microsoft's Agentic Solutions, Azure AI, Data, and Apps innovations, you will be tasked with winning the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. The SeniorDSE is expected to be able to both own and win customers' technical decisions and ensure their success with our platforms, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and engagements for sales specialists to pursue. As a SeniorDSE, you work within a virtual team of technical, commercial, partner and consulting resources to help educate AI Nativestartups, SDCs and AI Partnersat deep technical level,demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision, allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technicalskills across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.

Job Location: This role is in Mountain View, CA , Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Redmond, WA , Las Colinas, TX, Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, New York City, NY, or Boston, MA. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home .

Responsibilities:

• Proactively own technical leadership and discussions withAI Natives Startups, SDCsand IPS' AI Partners leveraging Microsoft AI Foundry Frameworks, AI Agents, AI Models and AI tools to showcase demos, Proof of Concepts (POC), andMinimal Viable Products (MVPs) using consultative salesmethodologyand technicalskills to influence the AI Native Startups/SDCs and AI Partners vision;establishrules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams

• Proactively build technical strategy: map the agreedAI Native Startups/SDCs and AI Partners vision into a strategy, resolve concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers and validating a valid business case for investment and translated technology complexity into business impact

• Work withAI Native Startups/SDCs and AI Partners' account teams, and GTM partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation guiding the customer to choose the best Microsoft Intelligent AI,Data and Analytics platform and win the AI Design, inclusive of Microsoft AI, Application services, Databases and Infrastructure

• Design AI Agentic solutions with orchestration of multi- Agents standards & protocols while utilizing AI architectural patterns and Microsoft Agentic frameworks, while using consultancy skills and our methodology to win aStartup/SDCtechnical decision and meettheirneeds

• Lead and execute application management, deployment, scalability, and orchestration of containerized solutions using technologies such as Azure Container Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Docker, and cloud-native architectures. Apply experience to ensure robust and efficient container operations across environments.

• Drive application integration and modernization initiatives, including re-factoring, re-architecting, and re-building legacy systems. Leverage Microsoft's AI and Agentic platforms, products, and frameworks to deliver intelligent, scalable, and future-ready solutions.

• Drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Pilots to create momentum for Minimal Viable Products (MVPs), infusing key AI technologies where appropriate and being technically proficient to do POC with skills. Presentation skills are required to present AI Agentic solutions and win technical decisions.

• Proactivelyenablescross collaboration across teams to drive AI Design Wins and support thestartup/SDCAI transformation inclusive of AI Agentic Applications and data foundation. Support the creation ofnewpipeline in collaboration with the Specialist and account team by identifying new opportunities within customer engagement and hand off to the Digital Account Executive for pursuit.

• Be the trusted advisor and use proactive effort to find and understandthe Startup/SDC'spain points and work with Microsoft partners to design and offer solutions (with business case) to technical leaders by building Microsoft Intelligent Agents, Microsoft Fabric, Data and Analytics platform evangelist inclusive of new innovative Agents solutions and Data and Analytics projects, modernizing legacy Data Warehouse to the cloud, new Modern Data Warehousing deployments, real-time analytics, and end to end Data, Analytics and Agentic AI solutions.

• Be the Voice of Customer (VOC) to share insights and best practices with Engineering, to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.

• Understanding the basic knowledge of Azuresecurityprinciples and practices, have extensive experience in implementing and managingsecuritymeasures within Azure environments. Understanding of identity and access management in Azure and familiarity with scripting and automation tools forsecurityprocesses. Stay current with the latest Azuresecuritytrends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 4+ years experience in programming and software development languages, platforms and libraries (e.g. Azure AI Foundry, ML Studio, GitHub, CoPilot Studio, VS Code, Python, Tensor Flow, and relevant competitors' platforms) with design, development and deployment of AI Agentic Solutions and AI Apps solving customer problems cultivating business value creation , or related
  • OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years experience working with AI models & LLMs ( large language models) including deep understanding of end to end development lifecycles of LLM processes like AI Ops, LLMOps , data consolidation, cleansing & preparation, algorithm selection, model/LLM design & architecture, development, testing, training, fine tuning, inferencing, distillation and responsible AI and ethical principles , or related experience.

• 1+ year(s) experience building AI Agents with understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) & A2A ( Agent2Agent) protocols and emphasis on AI Agents & AI Apps development, multi agent orchestrations solving business workflow solutions, Agentic AI solutions, Agentic AI App integrations.

• 4+ years experience with App management, deployment, scalability and orchestration of containers utilizing containerization technology and services like: Azure Container Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Dockers, Cloud Native Architecture, or related.

• 4+ years experience with Application Integrations and modernizations (re-Factoring, re-Architecting, Re-Building) utilizing Microsoft's AI and Agentic platforms, products and frameworks.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years Microsoft Azure Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) experience with Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (preferred)and relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms

• 4+ years' experience of developing and delivering Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Pilots, workshops, hackathons, Minimal Viable Products (MVPS ) and organizing/leading customer events for customers with presentation skills which lead to Azure cloud production deployments and migrations creating value realizations

• Experience with West Coast / Silicon Valley AI Natives, Digital Startups and SDC industry is required .

• Experience working in a fast pace and agile pre sales organizations to collaborate with accounts teams to win customers technical decisions

• 4+ years experience with Azure Migrations planning and execution, Azure Core Design & Infrastructure, Azure Security, Azure Networking, Azure and/or AWS (Amazon Web Services)/Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Infrastructure, apps, databases, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology solution designand cloud and hybrid, or on premises database infrastructures, architecture designs, and industry standards

• Cross organizational and functional collaboration skills to drive the optimal solution for the customer needs

• Demonstratable experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises Agentic AI, Apps, database infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.

• Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines (e.g., Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Azure Data & AI, Information Security, Architecture). Azure Certifications examples include:
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104),Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305),Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP 203) orAzure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) or Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (DP 600) or Azure Cosmos DB Developer Specialty (DP 420) or Fabric Analytics Engineering Associate (DP- 600).

• Knowledge of AI platforms (AWS, Google, IBM, and Oracle) with Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning, or IBM certified Data Science professional.

• Understands DatabasePlatformssuch asMicrosoft Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, IBM Db2, Snowflake, Cassandra DB, Maria DB, or related.

• Maintain and grow experience in Database scenarios including Cosmos DB, SQL DB, PostgreSQL and in Analytics, Data warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Science including Intelligent Data and Analytics Platform (Azure SQL DW, Lakehouse architecture, Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI), and relevant AI technologies while keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the Data & AI technical community.

• Understanding of Analytics Platforms such as Fabric, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, real-time analytics, Power BI OR experience working with the respective products.
• 3+ years programming experience (Scala, Python, Ruby, SQL, C# etc.)

Digital Solution Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $51.15 - $97.88 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $66.15 - $107.02 per hour.
