Job Title: MuleSoft Architect (Long Term)
Location: McKinney, Texas (Onsite) 2 days onsite.
Interview: Inperson (F2F interview)

Overview:
Our Client is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect for a 6-month contract engagement with our municipal sector client. This role is responsible for architecting, designing, and guiding the implementation of complex integrations and API strategies using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and oversee end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Define and enforce API architecture standards, integration patterns, security policies, and governance models.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration designs.
- Provide leadership and technical oversight to development teams during solution implementation.
- Define environment configurations, deployment strategies, and DevOps best practices for MuleSoft.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend modernization or optimization strategies.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and data management policies.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and integration roadmaps.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of integration architecture experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft architecture experience, including API-led connectivity, application networks, and reusability best practices.
- Proven success in leading enterprise-scale MuleSoft implementations.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in API specification (RAML/OpenAPI), REST/SOAP services, and integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, databases) and cloud/on-prem hybrid architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and monitoring tools in a MuleSoft environment.
- Proficiency in Java and integration-focused scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Architect (MuleSoft Integration Architect or Platform Architect).
- Experience working with government or municipal IT systems.
- Knowledge of API security, governance frameworks, and scalability best practices.
Conditions of Employment:
