Description & Requirements

The Team: The Public Cloud IAM and Org Management team builds solutions that enable cloud adoption in Bloomberg at enterprise scale. When operating at this level, our solutions need to be scalable, maintainable, and secure. To meet these requirements, we build self-serving solutions with proper control mechanisms in place. These automations allow us to address business needs in a timely manner without sacrificing or compromising the organization's control needs.

What's in it for you:
Being part of the PCIO team, you will play a critical role in Bloomberg's public cloud adoption. You will work closely with clients or external facing teams who build applications to drive business growth at Bloomberg. You will get to interact and drive products that focus on cost, security, and resilience in a centralized fashion.

You will have an opportunity to make decisions on how best to solve problems by either building them from scratch, using open source tools, choosing a cloud provider, or a vendor solution. Your interest in cloud security will come in handy as you will get the opportunity to explore different security tooling available for cloud infrastructure.

We'll trust you to:
  • Have good understanding of security principles and control mechanism in the realm of public cloud technologies within cloud service providers
  • Always look for ways to build automation, self service tools, and finding best tool for the job to meet needs for our users
  • Be able to understand, evaluate, and propose solutions to problems that are beneficial on an enterprise level

You'll need to have:
  • 4+ years of programming experience with Python
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working on solutions in one of the leading public cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience working with access control services, organization policy management such as IAM roles, users, and service control policies
  • Proficiency and experience in provisioning and building infrastructure as code using Terraform

We'd love to see:
  • Architect level certification from one or more public cloud providers
  • Expertise in analyzing and fixing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment
  • Experience building cloud native architectures on either AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working with workload identity solutions
  • Experience working with customized terraform providers
  • Experience working with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools or other Cloud Security Tools
  • Experience with Golang
