Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Poughkeepsie, New York. This role requires someone who can effectively bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing processes, managing requirements, and supporting system implementations.
Responsibilities:
Assess and document current business processes to identify areas for improvement and define future workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents and process models.
Act as a liaison between business teams and IT professionals to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
Participate in design reviews and walkthroughs to validate solutions.
Assist in defining test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Work closely with QA teams to review test plans and verify requirements during testing phases.
Support change management initiatives, including user training and documentation creation.
Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence to manage project tracking, backlog grooming, and testing workflows.
Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired states.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably on large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of business process mapping and workflow modeling.
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Proficiency in tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence for project management and collaboration.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on analytical thinking.
Experience in creating user training materials and facilitating knowledge transfer.
Ability to define and manage test cases for UAT and collaborate with QA teams.
Knowledge of change management practices and CRM systems.
