Description
SAIC is seeking a mid-level Azure DevOps Administrator to support the configuration, integration, and operation of Azure DevOps Server, and various Developer Tools. This role serves as a critical enabler for engineering teams by maintaining the DevOps infrastructure, integrating toolchains, and improving developer productivity through automation and standardization.
As part of the CI/CD infrastructure Team, the administrator will work directly with developers, system engineers, and project teams to ensure seamless access to DevOps capabilities, improve pipeline efficiency, and enhance the reliability of build and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer the Azure DevOps Server infrastructure, including configuration of collections, projects, build/release agents, and service connections.
Provide hands-on support for developer tools ensuring smooth integration within the DevOps environment.
Collaborate with application and engineering teams to support CI/CD pipeline implementation and troubleshooting.
Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell and/or Azure DevOps-native tooling.
Monitor system performance, apply updates/patches, and plan for scalability and reliability.
Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and failover configurations.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards and enforce proper permission management and auditing.
Provide tier-2/3 support to developer teams and assist in resolving environmental or pipeline issues.
Document processes, configurations, and known issues in a central knowledge base.
Stay up to date with DevOps trends, Azure enhancements, and tooling upgrades.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
2+ years of experience administering Azure DevOps Server, developer tools, and tool integrations in an enterprise environment.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build/release definitions, and agent pool management.
Strong understanding of Windows / Linux Server, SQL Server, and IIS.
Proficiency in PowerShell for scripting and automation.
Experience with Git source control, branching strategies, and repository management.
Familiarity with Agile practices and supporting Agile delivery workflows.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure DevOps-related certification (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
Experience integrating third-party developer tools (e.g., SonarQube,) into DevOps pipelines.
Exposure to security and compliance automation within DevSecOps frameworks.
