Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineering Asc Manager to support systems engineering Space Protection Programs (SPP) employees working multiple programs. This L-coded systems engineer will also be a technical contributor to the team in addition to L-code responsibilities as a first line leader.
You will be responsible for the management and development of your team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution.
This position will primarily support the design, fabrication, test, verification, deployment and sustainment of networked systems across multiple platforms. You will require advanced interpersonal skills in order to collaborate across various technical areas, business units and geographical locations.
Key responsibilities:
For the management and development of their team, you will be responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
To support functional initiatives and directorate undertakings, you will be responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.
To drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, you will be responsible for supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program
Basic Qualifications
- Engineering management or engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
- Full Lifecycle Development Experience
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- An active Top Secret or higher clearance required to start with ability to obtain/maintain a Polygraph

- Proposal development experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Networking systems experience
- Comm systems experience
- Design, build, test and verification of requirements experience

Work Schedule Information

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
