Robert Half is hiring! We are offering an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst in the Upstate of South Carolina. This role primarily focuses on application development, maintenance programming, and other duties as specified by the supervisor. Apply today!
Responsibilities:
Serve in any Programmer/Analyst capacity as directed by the supervisor
Carry out analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of applications
Engage in training and documentation of developed applications
Undertake maintenance programming, which includes analysis, coding, and enhancing or correcting bugs in existing code
Work on the AS400 system and SQL databases
Utilize RPG and Synon skills in the execution of duties
Communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical staff and Department Heads
Ensure detail-oriented work and maintain strong analytical skills in all operations.
Requirements
Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Programmer Analyst or similar role is necessary.
Proficiency in RPG and Synon is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a must.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of coding and data structure principles.
Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
