Job Details

The Data Scientist (DS) shall analyze and integrate business rules and training data used within the applications suite, and validate output data for accuracy and conformance to input training data rules. The DS will be available via telephone or email during regular business hours for the duration of the awarded task. This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, integrate, and validate business rules and training data across the applications suite.
  • Assess data outputs for accuracy, consistency, and conformance to input data rules and standards.
  • Develop, document, and maintain data validation processes, metrics, and reporting artifacts.
  • Compile reports, metrics data, and perform administrative functions as required to support program objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and program management) to ensure data quality and alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain clear communication during regular business hours; respond promptly to inquiries via phone or email.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable information assurance and security policies for the project.

 

Experience and Skill Set :

  • Strong Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience and general developer skills.
  • Petroleum domain experience: minimum 2 years (prefer candidates with DoD or Federal Government industry experience).
  • Data reporting and administration: minimum 3 years (reporting, metrics, and administrative functions).
  • Energy supply chain domain experience: minimum 2 years.
  • AI/data analysis, data mining, planning, and program/project management: minimum 3 years.
  • Security certification: Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M and DoDD 8140.
  • Language: English (spoken, read, and written) at a college graduate level.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science/Programming, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Mandatory: IAT Level III, Google Cloud Platform proficiency, and petroleum domain experience.
