Job Description:
Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr
- The Project Manager will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized IT projects, including infrastructure and product implementations.
- The role includes optimizing project templates, job aids, and training materials, as well as leading projects from initiation to closure.
- The successful candidate will exercise independent judgment on projects of moderate complexity, coordinate project teams, manage resources, and communicate progress to stakeholders effectively.
- Manage and optimize project templates, job aids, and training materials.
- Lead one or more small to medium-sized projects with budgets typically between $100,000 - $2,000,000.
- Gather, define, and document project requirements.
- Define and communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations for project team members.
- Plan work independently to meet project goals.
- Provide direction and leadership to project management analysts and schedulers.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and communicate project expectations.
- Record, track, and communicate issues, risks, changes, and status reports using client-standard tools.
- Forecast project resources, material, and contract costs accurately.
- Drive all project-related tasks to completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor critical project milestones and resolve schedule issues.
- Coordinate contract work within defined client policies.
- Conduct site visits and walk-downs as needed.
- Assess project performance and implement corrective actions to ensure cost, schedule, scope, and quality objectives are met.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and management.
- Maintain productive working relationships with project sponsors, vendors, and clients.
- Resolve project-specific issues within procedural guidelines.
- Prepare all project documentation for closure, storage, and auditing, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing one or more small to medium complexity IT product or infrastructure projects.
- Fully competent in applying project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience delivering IT infrastructure projects including computing, telecommunications, networking, data centers, security, voice, and data communications.
- Strong resource planning, scheduling, and tracking skills.
- Ability to function and manage effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Cost management expertise.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI or equivalent (e.g., Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate Program).
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Primavera, PPMC, SAP, and Microsoft Visio.
- Master s degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree required.
- Additional certifications or Master s degree preferred.
