Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Database Administrator with data security and disaster recovery experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Manages physical databases on specific database technologies. Designs and implements back-up, recovery, archiving, and conversion strategies. Manages and maintains data definitions in all production and non-production databases and replication servers. Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements. Designs and develops logical and physical layers of databases. Handles testing, reporting, back-up, and restores. Provides technical assistance and mentoring to staff for developing conceptual and logical database design and the physical database. Recommends, installs, and maintains database software. Monitors performance and performs database training and assists application developers with train tuning efforts.

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 4 years' experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

- Strong experience with data security and disaster recovery for Mainframe DB2 databases
- Experience designing and developing logical and physical layers of databases
- Strong experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.
- Strong experience with database install, security, risk, audit, monitoring, access control, backup/restore, patching, vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with z/OS Mainframe, CICS/MQ, EMC/Dell & IBM storage concepts
- Familiarity with Devops and automation design and tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, JIRA, ServicecNow and Gitlab/Github productivity tools.
- Experience in Database monitoring and performance improvements. Database schema design, SQL tuning and database administration tools BMC and IBM.
- Familiarity with installing and supporting IBM data server client and drivers
