Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Princeton, NJ. You will lead the design and development of complex electro-mechanical medical devices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation from feasibility through manufacturing.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $62/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:
  • Lead the design and development of mixed-signal analog-digital circuits for electro-mechanical medical devices.
  • Drive R&D efforts from feasibility through prototyping, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Develop and analyze PCB layouts using tools like ORCAD, PADS, and PSpice, ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain documentation aligned with quality system standards.
  • Perform system-level testing and validation, including first silicon evaluation and bench testing of ICs and subassemblies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes and technical reviews.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a relevant technical field.
  • Proven expertise in mixed-signal analog-digital circuit design and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB CAD tools (e.g., ORCAD, PADS) and simulation tools (e.g., PSpice), with a strong understanding of FDA-regulated medical device environments.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $62.00 per hour
