JDE CNC System Administrator (Contract-to-Contract, Remote)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled JDE CNC System Administrator for a contract-to-contract (C2C) remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will be an Application Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) CNC (Configurable Network Computing) administration, ensuring seamless operation, security, and performance of JDE systems across various hardware platforms, operating systems, and databases. This role involves managing user access, configuring environments, and executing system upgrades without disrupting core applications.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain JDE CNC environments, ensuring high availability and performance across Intel, IBM, HP, and other hardware platforms.
Manage JDE systems on various operating systems, including Windows and Linux, ensuring compatibility and optimization.
Configure and maintain databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) to support JDE applications.
Implement and manage JDE security protocols, including user management, role-based access control, and compliance with organizational security policies.
Administer CNC middleware components to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Configure and maintain customizable JDE environments tailored to business needs.
Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and updates while minimizing disruption to core applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to JDE CNC infrastructure, middleware, and database connectivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements and ensure system reliability.
Provide documentation and training to end-users and stakeholders as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Deep Expertise in JDE CNC Administration: Proven experience managing JDE CNC environments, including setup, configuration, and optimization.
Hardware and Platform Knowledge: Extensive experience with hardware platforms such as Intel, IBM, HP, and others.
Operating Systems: Proficiency in administering JDE systems on Windows, Linux, and other relevant operating systems.
Database Management: Strong expertise in managing Oracle, SQL Server, and other databases supporting JDE applications.
Security Management: In-depth knowledge of JDE security configuration, user management, and role-based access controls.
Middleware Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC middleware components and their integration within JDE environments.
System Upgrades and Updates: Experience planning and executing upgrades, patches, and updates to JDE systems without impacting core applications.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and provide clear documentation and training.
Remote Work Proficiency: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle JDE CNC certification or equivalent training.
Experience with cloud-based JDE deployments or hybrid environments.
Knowledge of ITIL processes or other IT service management frameworks.
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools to streamline administrative tasks.
