Summary

The vision for the AIML Data and ML Innovation organization is to improve products by using data as the voice of our customers. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sr Software Data Infrastructure Engineer to work on data processing for Siri and Search. You will build a unified and groundbreaking data processing framework on device and server using Spark, and/or Flink. You will collaborate closely with other teams to transform raw data from device into useful datasets for Machine Learning.

Key Qualifications

Expertise in large-scale data processing, with a track record of working with Spark and/or Flink, and device data processing.Understanding of distributed computing principles and data engineering standard methodologies.Proven programming skills in Python, Java, iOS development and Swift (Scala is desired).A genuine passion for working with data and solving sophisticated problems at scale.Experience with Machine Learning or data mining is desired.

Description

We are looking for an Engineer who will work on building and implementing a robust data processing framework to streamline log data pipelines, using expertise in device data processing platform, Spark and/or Flink. In this collaborative role, you'll partner closely with the Siri, Search, and other teams to design solutions that transform raw data into datasets that drive innovation. Your work will focus on optimizing performance, ensuring data quality, and contributing to a long-term vision that extends the framework's capabilities to new user scenarios and ground breaking machine learning applications. We're looking for someone who thrives on tackling data challenges at scale and stays abreast of the latest advancements in big data processing and distributed systems.

Education & Experience

PhD, MS or BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
